The word "karma" means "action." What action? — the effects or consequences of an action in the way it promotes growth, balance, harmony, peace, justice, and ethics.
Karma is not a system of punishment and reward. And in the strictest sense, there is no bad karma or good karma. It is simply a fundamental law of the universe, like gravity.
