Sacred activism is an essential component of spiritual growth. Standing above and beyond lurid politics, we peacefully confront injustice, racism, misogyny, bigotry, hatred, anger, and fear of all kinds with intelligence and compassion.
We speak-up and confront the wicked, the heartless and the corrupt. In June of 2016, Congressman John Lewis (D-GA) on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives declared, "Sometimes you have to make a way out of no way. We have been too quiet for too long. There comes a time when you have to say something, when you have to make a little noise. When you have to move your feet. This is the time. Now is the time to get in the way. The time to act is now. We will be silent no more. The time for silence is over."
