To understand depression, we must understand anxiety. Though there are feelings of depression that appear to be symptoms of certain physical ailments and even genetic predispositions to depression, the bulk of it is anxiety.
And what is anxiety? Often, it is worry, doubt, or nervous apprehension about some anticipated negative outcome. But more commonly, anxiety is simple stress — a stimulus overload of uncertainty, confusion, and conflict.
