Kabir Das — Engolddenment

with Andrew Harvey

Show Notes —

"Theologians may quarrel, but the mystics of the world speak the same language."

— Meister Eckhart

Hello AWMS subscriber :

The Oxford scholar and author of more than 40 books on mysticism, Andrew Harvey, joins us on the Ageless Wisdom Mystery School this week to reveal his newest book, Engoldenment — A Year with Kabir.

Kabir Das was a 15th Century mystic revered today more than ever by both Hindus and Muslims for his sweeping wisdom poetry. A humble weaver from Benares, Kabir's praise of the Divine is reminiscent of the Sufi poetry of the Persian mystics Rumi and Hafez, yet in many ways, more raw and naked.

The Ageless Wisdom Mystery School program is heard every Tuesday at 1:00 PM Pacific on KPFK-90.7 FM for all of Southern California. It also live-streams for the world at www.KPFK.org (20-hrs summer / 21-hrs winter, UTC) and is podcast on all podcatchers and player apps.

You can also hear each week's show stream on-demand from our YouTube channel or the show's website at TheAgelessWisdom.com, where you can also download the Mp3 simply by clicking on the three vertical dots at the right side of the built-in audio player.
